About Me

ROCKIN TENNIES HAS NEVER BEEN SO FUN

Hey everyone, I am Dana and I have struggled for many years with what type of footwear I should put on before heading out to start my day. I would end up wearing tight, painful, shoes where by the end of the day they ended up in my hands instead of on my feet. It was very difficult to find shoes that were both comfortable and fashionable as well as finding shoes that could be worn with many different types of outfits.  There is wide variety of jobs that require people to be on their feet all day and look good doing it.  Matching footwear that complimented certain clothing styles made it nearly impossible for me to walk all day let alone keep these shoes on my feet for long amount of time.

The reason I created this page is to help people like yourself to know that there are ways to maintain a fashionable style no matter what your shoe needs are. There is a new trend that has dominated the fashion industry and now you can rock any style that fit your personality and lifestyle. What is it you asked, you may be surprised to learn that it is tennis shoes and sneakers. I am going to share my personal experiences with you and what I have discovered about my personal fashion sense and how I can express my personality through my footwear.

I also ask that if I say anything that captures your interest, that you get involved within my site.  I love to talk about shoes and the new styles and colors that athletic shoes and sneakers are offering for both casual wear and dressing up and if you have anything interesting that you would like to share or any opinions about any of the content I have created on my site, please feel free to express your thoughts.  I love any type of feedback.

So on to me and my journey of why stylish tennies and sneakers are important to me.

At a very young age I loved shoes of all kinds, I loved all styles and colors of boots, heals, wedges, sandals, and tennies.  Like most little girls, I would sneak into my mother’s room trying on all her high heals and strutting around the house in such an ungraceful ballerina style.  My parents were not the type to invest in a variety of shoes, you typically got two pairs at the beginning of a school year and those were worn until they looked like the dog had played with them for hours. But that didn’t matter, I knew someday I would have all the shoes I wanted.

As I got older, I started buying all types of shoes.  If I bought a new outfit, I bought new shoes to match and many times I would buy the shoes first if I stumbled across a pair I just had to have and then match up an outfit.  It didn’t matter if they hurt my feet, I wore them for the sake of fashion. I would come home after work with throbbing aching feet and many time I would be carrying my shoes to the car because I could not make it all the way home in my fashionable shoes.  If I was out at a nightclub, I was forced to dance barefoot again resorting to walking home barefoot due to the pain.

I guess it would be no surprise when I tell you as I got older, I experienced more and more foot problems and knew it was time to look for a different approach to wearing stylish footwear. A few years ago I was forced to wear a brace and finding shoes that would conceal it while still looking good was nearly impossible until I walked into a women’s athletic shoe store and found rows and rows of the coolest athletic shoes and sneakers. When I need to take a break from my brace due to pressure points, I can wear a pair of cool high-tops that supports my foot and ankle. There was a huge selection of styles and colors with an array of support that could accommodate my brace and anyone’s needs in a trendy and stylish way. Now I have the most ridiculously awesome athletic shoes and sneakers that can be worn with any outfit including dresses and skirts, that means they can be worn to the office, out for dinner and drinks, at play, and to the gym. When I really feel sassy, I can wear  flashy tennis shoes or sneaker that will stand out and make a statement. I no longer wear footwear that causes pain within the hour, I wear a variety of athletic shoes and sneaker that are comfortable and represent my unique style and personality.

If you have a love for shoes and have a lifestyle that requires support, durability, stability, and comfortable, or your just tired of ignoring the pain that is associated with certain types of shoes, you can rock all your styles in a sassy and classy way with tennies and sneakers. If you think about it, shoes can make or break an outfit and is one of the most important accessories you can buy. Athletic shoes and sneakers can be such a fun way to express yourself in a unique and fashionable way.
